The Activation Radius
- Each ViewPlatform has an activation radius
that expresses a bounded region of interest
- Behaviors, sounds, backgrounds, fog, and other nodes have
bounding volumes
- When the activation radius intersects those bounds, those
nodes are active
- Backgrounds or fog are turn on
- Sounds and behaviors are scheduled
